Operation American Pride

Putting American Pride where it counts the most !

powmia

November 7, 2009, my wife and I were out raising funds for Operation American Pride, Inc,  We were in Plant City, Florida for an event assisting “Homeless Veterans, just a mile down the road was a young soldier by the name of Specialists Eric N. Lembke, 25, being laid to rest by his family.
The stark reality of war raised it’s head once again for the people at Central Command Headquarters, located at MacDill AFB, Fl.  On Thursday November 5, 2009, Specialists Lembke arrived via private aircraft at the MacDill AFB flight line.  A solemn line of active duty soldiers, veterans, and civilian personnel lined the street on MacDill to pay their respects one final time.  I was standing in that line of personnel, and the harsh truth of a loss hit pretty hard as the vehicle carrying the wife of Specialists Lembke passed by, it was a sad moment for all present.

Saturday November 7, 2009 was just another beautiful Saturday in Florida, perfect weather, good temperatures!  A perfect day to lay a hero to rest.

Please pray for the Lembe family and all the families that have lost a loved one while defending our freedom.  This country owes a great debt of gratitude to our military men and women.

We can not take away the fear, pain and harsh realities of war; we can only provide them a helping hand when they return home and are in need of assistance.  However, we can keep them in our hearts and in our prayers, and ask the Lord to provide them a safe return home. Please keep our military men and women in your daily prayers.
