Operation American Pride, Inc: A non-profit organization working to provide support to our men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
What specifically do we provide?
- We provide items that will assist our military wounded warriors recovering in our military and Veteran Administration (VA) hospitals,
- We provide financial assistance to military families who are left behind while their military service member is deployed overseas,
- Did you know that many young families are relying on food stamps to make ends meet while their loved one is deployed? Why is this? Simply because when the soldier is at his home base in the USA, he/she is usually working a part-time job to help support the family. Once the military member is deployed, this extra income to make ends meet is gone!
- We provide financial assistance to Veteran’s who are down on their luck due to the economy and loss of employment,
- We provide tuition assistance for the military member’s dependent children for their initial entry into a community college,
Where and who do we help? Operation American Pride, Inc., is located in Palmetto, Florida. We support military families throughout the United States. In places such as:
- Fort Bragg, N.C. - Specifically the 82nd Airborne Division – currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan,
- Fort Campbell, KY – 101st Airborne Division,
- MacDill AFB, FL – Various units from Central Command and the Special Operations Command,
- Fort Drum, NY – 10th Mountain Div,
- Fort Lewis, WA – Stryker Brigade,
- Shaw AFB, SC – Various units,
- Fort Hood, TX – Various units,
- Camp Lejeune, N.C. – USMC
- Camp Pendleton, CA – USMC
- Fort Benning, GA
- Fort Knox, KY
Why should you assist military members living in other cities and states? This answer is quite obvious! No single community provides young men and women for the entire Army, Navy, Marine Corps or Air Force. Military members are from all walks of life, from all corners of the United States. It is true you may not be supporting a specific person from your hometown but you will be supporting an American military man or woman, who provides all Americans the safe haven in which we live. This is not a political decision to support our men and women in uniform it is a decision to give back to those who serve. It does not matter what political party we are associated with, it only matters that we support our military heroes.
What is our overhead cost? Our overhead cost is $ 0.00. My wife and I donate our time, a small office in our home, and many dollars to make Operation American Pride, Inc. a successful organization providing assistance to any service member that needs a temporary boost of assistance.
Who are we? My name is Michael Whitt and my wife is Deborah Whitt. I served twenty years in the United States Army, after retiring from the military, I worked as a federal civil service employee for the Department of Defense for ten years supporting the Department of the Army and the Department of the Navy , United States Marine Corps. After resigning from civil service, I have worked as a contractor in support of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and US Central Command. I have a total of forty-two years of service to my country.
My wife Deborah, worked as a federal civil service employee and retired from civil service just recently. Deborah’s father was a career military man who retired and went on to work as a civil service employee in the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
As you can see we are not just some charity that popped-up overnight for a good cause! We have over 75 years combined and invested years in serving those who serve.

- You can organize fund raisers – which we will assist you in doing,
- You can spread the word to all your friends, family and co-workers,
- You can have everyone you know donate $ 1.00 (the cost of a soda) to Operation American Pride, Inc.
- Asking friends and family to knit or sew items we send overseas (again contact us for specifics)
